How to get to Conference Venue
From ”Macedonia” Airport
Via the A25
Take the Airport-Thessaloniki Provincial Road, and then the Thessaloniki Airport-Moudania Road. Then follow K. Karamanli Avenue, and travel via Egnatia, until you reach Monastiriou Street. You will find the Grand Hotel Palace after about 2 km on your left hand.
Via Thessaloniki centre
Take Georgikis Scholis Avenue heading towards Thessaloniki. Travel through the city’s centre via Tsimiski Street, and continue straight ahead towards Giannitson Street. At the junction of the New Railway Station turn left on Monastiriou Street heading towards Menemeni. You will find the Grand Hotel Palace after about 1.5 km on your left hand.
From Thessaloniki Railway Station
Go to Monastiriou Street, passing in front of the Railway Station, and head straight to the exit of the city, where, at about 1.5 km you will find the Grand Hotel Palace.
From the Athens – Thessaloniki National Road & from Macedonia Coach Station
From Athens-Lamia National Road take the exit to the “Centre” and follow the sign to “Monastiriou Street”. Go under the overpass near the KTEL Intercity Coach Station. Follow the first exit to Dendropotamou Avenueand turn right to Monastiriou Street. In about 400 meters, you will find the Grand Hotel Palace on your right hand.
- Bus Number 79* from the airport (from 05:45 to 22:20) to bus station IKEA. From IKEA bus No 8 to station “Oryzomili”.
- The distance between Thessaloniki Airport and the Grand Hotel Palace is about 16 km which takes 35 minutes by car.
- Public transportation Bus Number N1* (night bus) (from 23:10 to 05:55) to bus station ” Oryzomili”
* Ticket price for N1 is 2€/per person. You can buy it from the automatic ticket machine in the bus. Be careful the machine does not give change.
* If you take the buses No 79 and No 8 you can use only one ticket that you can buy it from the ticket office that is located next to the bus station at the airport. The ticket’s price is 1,20€/ per person

The official language of the Conference is English. In one of conference rooms all lectures (3 days) will be translated into Greek language (will be published in Programme scheme).

Collect your conference kit and name badge from the registration desk on arrival. A name badge is required for admittance to all official conference sessions and events according to the type of registration. Name badge must be collected by the registered person during the registration desk opening hours. A proof of identity will be needed e.g. passport or any photo ID). It cannot be collected or used by anyone other than the person registered and named on the badge. If you are prevented from attending, you will be given the opportunity to send a colleague in your place. Name changes should be notified in writing to Conference Secretariat. A handling fee of 20 € will be charged for each name change. Lost badges will be replaced for registered participants presenting an ID, at a replacement fee of 20 €.
Guest attendance policy
All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.
The EERVC will apply for CE accreditation.
Insurance and Liability
The Conference organizer shall not be held liable for personal injury or any loss or damage to the belongings of conference participants, either during or as a result of the conference. Please check the validity of your own insurance.
Official Letter of Invitation
Official letters of invitation designed to facilitate Travel arrangement will be sent on request. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment for the part of the Organizing Committee or Conference to provide any financial assistance. An official invitation letter will be created and sent to you by e-mail within 24h. Please contact EERVC Secretariat for assistance.
Coffee and Lunch Breaks
All coffee breaks and lunch packages are included in the conference fee. Coffee breaks and lunch packages will be served in the Exhibition area as per the times indicated in the timetable, (see exhibition floor plan with catering stations). Vouchers are provided as part of the registration package. Please present your Lunch Voucher to collect your lunch box.
Free WiFi is available throughout the Hotel (lecture halls and exhibition area).
Safety and security
Please do not leave your personal belongings, bags or suitcases unattended at anytime.
A passport or an identification document recognised by international agreements is needed. For more information please visit the Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs: www.mfa.gr. It is your responsibility to check if you need a visa to enter Greece. Please check for details at the Greek Embassy or Consulate in your country.
Greece is a Euro Area member state and the valid currency is Euro.
The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. In Greece the power sockets are southern Europe type which means C and F types narrow round slotes.
